WISE - Finance

W.I.S.E. spends revenue raised through its fundraising activities on programs, services and materials for Westwood Charter School.  In the 2008-09 school year, W.I.S.E. contributed $365,000 to the school. The chart below shows the budget categories in which these dollars were spent.

The W.I.S.E. Board of Directors makes decisions about how to allocate the WISE revenue after consulting with the school principal, Judy Utvich and the Westwood Charter Site-Based Management Council (SBM). Throughout the year, W.I.S.E. and SBM work closely with Ms. Utvich to identify gaps in school funding and set budget priorities based on information from teachers and parents.
